Cacao is grown in 34 countries around the world in Latin America, Africa and Asia principally in areas that fall within 20ºN and 20ºS of the Equator. Each is highlighted in our map below. Other countries, such as Honduras produce only very small amounts of cacao, much of which grows wild in the jungle.
